What's needed for people to tell their stories?

What do people actually need in order to share? What if you change the location, the place, the words you say the moment before you ask the question? We all explore this question in our daily lives in the conversations with friends and loved ones but often we don't consider the broader implications of our learning. We want to figure it out because we believe stories are not only valuable they are necessary.
