The Continuum Workshop was awesome. I had a really good time today. It got me really excited and pumped and of course ready to do my project. It’s a good thing you did this today to help others get ready for their projects as well. I now know where to go, who to see and I can see my goal happening. I was searching for a position that was both interesting and inspiring and I found it at Dreamnow -- where the only limitations are those of your own creation. We came up with an idea, developed it, and made it into a reality with our very successful Bar Philanthropy event -- literally creating something from nothing! Overall I feel that I’m coming away with skills and knowledge that I could never learn in a classroom. Interning at Dreamnow will teach you about the social enterprise world, how connections are made and how work gets done. I would highly recommend it to people who are willing to think outside the box and are looking for something a little different.

A year ago, the thought of coordinating a national event, at the age of sixteen, would have set me rationalizing why I couldn't possibly pull it off. Working with Continuum has had the opposite effect. When I started to organize my project, Lights Out Canada, just as importantly as taking concrete steps, was having enough confidence to believe that I could. I would not have had either without the guidance and encouragement of you. Under the wing of my Continuum advisor, I've not only launched my project successfully, I've grown as a person. I now feel empowered as a youth, and I've gained a plethora of networking, public speaking, and all-around life-changing experiences.
